We collect as little as we can get away with, we don’t track you, and we don’t sell anything to anyone. This page says exactly what happens to what you do give us.

What we collect, and when

If you fill in the form on Start a conversation, we receive the four things you typed: your name, your business, what eats your week, and your email address. Nothing else on the form is hidden, and there is no field you can’t see.

If you email us instead, we have whatever you put in the email.

Our server briefly holds the IP address a form submission arrived from, in memory, for one minute. It is used only to stop the same address submitting the form more than five times a minute, and it is never written to disk or associated with what you sent.

What we don’t collect

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording and no third-party scripts of any kind. Nothing about your visit is measured, and nothing follows you off the site. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The fonts are served from this site rather than a font network, so loading a page tells nobody but us that you were here.

Why we’re allowed to hold it

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you asked us to get in touch about working together, and replying to you is the whole point of the form. We think that’s what you’d expect. If you’d rather we didn’t hold it, say so and we’ll delete it.

Who else sees it

Two suppliers process data on our behalf, both under contract and neither permitted to use it for their own purposes:

Resend delivers the email your form submission becomes. Vercel hosts this site and runs the code that receives the form.

Nobody else. We don’t sell, rent or share enquiry data, and we don’t pass it to advertisers or data brokers. Some processing may involve transfers outside the UK, made under the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

Your enquiry lives in our email, and we keep it while there is a live conversation and for two years afterwards, so we can pick a thread back up. Then we delete it. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it, or object to us holding it at all. There is no form and no charge — email us and we’ll do it within a month.

If you think we’ve got this wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d rather you told us first so we can put it right.
